Elneny wants more play time.
Mohamed Elneny threatens to leave Arsenal if he fails to get more playing time under club manager, Mikel Arteta.
The Arsenal midfielder was a major influence on his country, Egypt, on getting to the final of the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Elneny played in all the five matches in AFCON, and accordingly, noted that he would consider leaving the Arsenal if he does not make the starting 11.
Mohamed Elneny, in an interview with Ahmed Hossam Mido said;
“I have a dream and I will not give it up.”
“I see myself able to be in the starting 11, but if I saw that the difference between me and my colleagues in Arsenal was too big, I would leave immediately, I’m not stubborn.”
He further stated that he left the club on a loan to the Turkish side, Besiktas in the 2019 to 2020 season because he felt he was not part of the manager – UNAI EMERY’S plans at that time.
That; “When UNAI EMERY was the coach, I left for Besiktas due to the feeling that the coach wouldn’t give me a chance” the midfielder added.
